Water Quality Monitoring
The Cold Stream Pond Campowner's Association participates in the Maine Volunteer Lake Monitoring Program.
Our primary certified water monitor is Anne Argast. Laurie and Jim Fenwood are also certified monitors.
These volunteers monitor water quality twice a month at two monitoring stations (one in the Upper Basin and one in the Lower Basin). In addition, the CSCOA funds the collection of five water samples at each station which are analyzed for total phosphorous-- the most significant pollutant in the lake.
