2019 Loon Count

Monique Landucci has posted the official tally for this year's loon count: 14 adults and no chicks. However, since the time of the of the count on July 20, several people have seen and photographed a single chick, so it appears that at least one pair nested successfully despite the high lake water level this spring. Thanks to Monique for coordinating the count once again and thanks to the 13 volunteer observers.
